Size A2 (4.25 x 5.5") blank greeting card featuring my original illustration of a plague doctor.

To help ward off airborne pathogens, plague doctors would wear what was essentially a proto bio-hazard suit that consisted of a wide-brimmed hat, a long overcoat made of a thick fabric material that was waxed, thick gloves, boots, and a bird-like mask that served as a respirator. Aromatic herbs were kept in the beak cavity to help ward off the stench of death and decay. A cane would be carried around as an instrument to examine patients to avoid directly touching them as well as keeping other people at bay.
